Michael Akkerman is a seasoned C-level executive with extensive experience in building and operating both privately-held and public companies across various sectors including digital advertising, scaled marketplaces, loyalty programs, consumer products, and financial services. His leadership and strategic vision have been instrumental in driving significant growth and innovation in multiple high-profile organizations.
- As Chief Product & Strategy Officer at Cardlytics (CDLX), he led the company through a period of exponential growth, increasing market cap from $350M to $4B. Oversaw $1B in M&A activity in 2021, developed a new self-service advertising platform, and enhanced bank governance and auditing applications.
- As Global Head of Pinterest Partners at Pinterest (PINS), he drove $500M in global total revenue with over 50% YOY growth. Managed an ecosystem of 120+ strategic technology partners and played a key role during Pinterest's IPO, with his channel contributing to 50% of the company's revenue in 2017-2018.
- Helped secure a $20M Growth Round from Bain Capital. Spearheaded the evolution of the sales approach towards enterprise solution suite selling, driving major shifts in the company's strategy and operations, as Global Vice President at Kenshoo: .
